WHAT IS THE SAASTR MEET-A-VC PROGRAM:
An innovative SaaStr community program— Meet-A-VC gives Founders and CEOs the chance to have 1:1 meetings with a hand-picked group of vetted, elite VCs.
This program is exclusive to investors and funds already in the SaaStr Community (ie - be participating in a 2023 SaaStr event or a previous participant as a Fund).
We do the heavy lifting to bring the Founders. You choose who you want to meet with.
We’e done this more than 10 times now and have connected investors have from ICONIQ Growth, Bessemer Venture Partners, Sequoia, Accel, Point Nine Capital, and countless others with hundreds of high-growth founders. And yes, these meetings have led to successful term sheets.
If you’re an Investor interested in meeting Founders through the Meet a VC program, please follow these steps very carefully:
#1 First, you must be an active member of the SaaStr community:
Active investors and firms already participating and attending SaaStr Annual 2023
Past participating firms and individuals from the broader SaaStr community are welcome (past Braindate speaker, event attendee, Workshop Wednesday, digital event host etc.)
New firms and individuals are encouraged to submit for acceptance into the program (note: we can’t except everyone)
#2 Remember, this program is strictly opt-in (for both the investors + founder) and is not a guarantee:
Post-revenue Founders and CEOs apply to the Meet-a-VC Program by uploading a full deck, stage, funding status, revenues, growth rate, etc. to keep the meetings focused.
SaaStr vets participating venture firms and individual investors to provide you with a curated list of startups based on your current interests
You as VCs (can reach out direct) and SaaStr (matchmaking) will help facilitate desired meetings. We accept founder submissions on a rolling basis, so expect to vet our network of Founders regularly. (If you can’t yet, please wait to be considered)
You will only meet with Founders who have been hand-picked by SaaStr and whose brands and values are accretive to the SaaS community
#3 Here’s how we connect VCS and Founders:
SaaStr will provide approved venture firms with a curated list of startups based on their current interests
We will also tell you how to meet these Founders, (ie you’re both already attending Annual, or Europa, or Digitally)
We’ll help you facilitate these meetings (ie space at the events, email intros, etc.)
Note if you are accepted and participate, we expect you to take at least 1 meeting. We can pretty much guarantee you visibility into 100s of top Founders but it is on you to meet Founders. :) If we see you are not taking meetings, you may be dropped from active to inactive status within our network and promoted less.
We ask you keep SaaStr informed of your progress and provide feedback to help improve this program
